Project Manager /Sales/ Designer - We offer a fun, supportive work

The Position: We’re looking for a Project Manager /Sales/ Designer. The pay range we’re
offering is $25,000-$75,000 (depending on experience and compensation package agreed
upon.)

  • We immediately offer: participation in quarterly profit sharing. After 90 days: 32 hours sick

time. After one year: 1 week paid vacation, eligible to participate in Simple IRA with 2%
company match, we pay half employees monthly direct primary membership. After 3
years: 2 weeks paid vacation

  • We also have some flexibility on start time.
     

Requirements:

  • Three years minimum working in the cabinet or design industry

  • Preferably an interior design degree or sales experience in a related field

  • Highly Organized!
    o Excel
    o Word

     

  • Not required for hire, but will have to learn Cabinet Vision (cabinet cad software)

  • Read blueprints and field measure

  • Good eye for design

  • Enjoying working with clients and problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills


Responsibilities:

  • Meet with our clients (builders, home-owners, architects & interior designers), gather
    all information on the design and style of the home, make cabinet recommendations
    and pass along all information for our Technical Designers to layout in a very organized
    manner.

  • Manage all aspects from design consultations, closing the sale, writing contracts,
    collecting all information required to produce cabinet package and manage project
    through to completion.

  • Working well with our Technical Designers and all departments to make sure projects
    go smoothly for our clients.

    o CAD Programs such as Auto CAD, Sketch-Up, Alpha Cam and Cabinet Vision.

  • Good eye for design and enjoys working on the computer doing detailed shop and
    client drawings.

  • Communicates clearly with Project Managers


Responsibilities:

  • Create high quality CAD drawings from notes provided from our Project Managers.
    Drawings will include: Floorplans, elevations and 3D renderings.

  • CAD drawings should be executed so that they can be submitted to the shop for
    production

  • Work well with our Project Managers and Engineer to make sure projects go smoothly
    for our clients.

Design Coordinator

Summary

Interior Design Firm looking for a Design Coordinator. Responsible for the effective management, organization and
scheduling of client projects to maximize opportunities and increase profitability. Work with design team to create
visual presentations and proposals relating to construction and interior design.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee orchestration of numerous design projects at one time.

  • Communicate with designers, clients and vendors to insure accuracy of orders and scheduling of services.

  • Attend and assist in client design meetings as needed.

  • Assist with off-site interior design projects-including field verification and drafting services.

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients to maximize all opportunities, whether through direct contact, over the phone or through the mail and maintain a positive customer service environment.

  • Assist customers with merchandise selections including special order and custom product.

  • Resolve customer problems, consider all suggestions and implement changes as necessary.

  • Schedule client appointments as well as subcontractors and deliveries.

  • Assist as needed with maintenance of the retail sales floor through creative merchandising of product.

  • Keep current on all product information, merchandise/ interoffice memos.

  • Maintain an awareness of current advertising, promotions and catalogues.

  • Assist with in-store special events such as First Friday Art Walk.

  • Work with other team members to develop marketing collateral including videos, blog posts and social media posts to promote Obelisk Home

  • Work with management and other team members to develop systems and procedures to improve efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Assist in preparation of design presentations

  • Maintain records including selections, budgets, and correspondence among designers, clients and subcontractors.

  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be highly motivated, detail oriented and extremely organized.

  • Design skills, creative and inspirational thinker.

  • Be a strong communicator, and have great listening and people skills

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Previous experience in the home décor or design industry preferred.

  • Retail management preferred.

  • Point of sale system experience, such as QuickBooks preferred.

  • Ability to work with customers and other associates, representing the company in a professional manner.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check and agree to routine drug screenings as required.

Technology Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite software, and of computers in general.

  • Experience with social media platforms such as FaceBook, Instagram, Houzz, Pinterest, etc.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Photo-Shop/Creative Suite application software.

Working Conditions

  • Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm or as needed with advance notice

  • Usual conditions associated with retail operation. Periods of standing, moving, and lifting of heavy

objects (up to 40 pounds) required. Routine exposure to pet dander, especially dogs.

Resource Room

1364 N Kelly Avenue Nixa Missouri is now hiring full time for the showroom.
Resource Room is looking for an Assistant Manager.


We sell interior design products to trade professionals. The position is ideal for a motivated self started. You will be tasked with helping to run the showroom. Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  1. Work with customers to find product, provide price quotes, and sell products. This could be in person, via email, or on the phone.

  2. Keep inventory of items and samples checked out and back in.

  3. Maintain front of store and Resource Library.  Keep things neat and orderly in order to sell product.

  4. Assist with marketing for store including but not limited to: Social Media posts, Emails, Postcards, Attend trade shows, Participate in professional organizations.

  5. Manage warehouse with receiving and inventory of customers orders and store product. And assist with scheduled pick up.

  6. Meet with sales representatives and host special events, presentations and sales.

This is ultimately a sales position. We are looking for someone comfortable with face to face interaction, as well as working via the phone or computer. Most computer work is done in Microsoft outlook, office and Quickbooks. General knowledge of these programs is a plus but can be trained. Design experience or knowledge of the industry is a plus.

SUMMARY
Midwest Office is one of the fastest growing independent office dealers in the country with 8 locations
throughout Illinois, Missouri & Kansas. We are looking for an interior designer/sales representative with
the capability of combining sales expertise with creativity, space planning proficiency, and product
knowledge involved in designing commercial interiors with the intention of producing furniture sales.
Undergraduate degree in Interior Design recommended, but not required. Must be able to seek out
clientele and subsequently create, easily explain, and professionally present a furniture layout and
proposal.
