A Window of Opportunity
Posted by melissaHome Style Ltd. hosted the March meeting of the Springfield Design Association. Home Style has a beautiful showroom full of designer fabrics by the bolt. They offer drapery hardware, home accessories, trims and tassels, as well as workroom services for construction of draperies and custom bedding and pillows.
Food for the event was brought in by Clary’s of Springfield and was set up in “stations” around the showroom allowing for maximum browsing and mingling The meeting was well attended by SDA members from all aspects of design from builder to designer, architect to sales rep. The meeting came to a close with information about upcoming events, such as the MSU senior show which was be held on April 4 in the Plaster Student Union Ballroom on MSU Campus.
Jane Patterson of Home Style Ltd. educated attendees about the Do’s and Don’ts of Window placement. She pointed out several situations that she sees on a day-to-day basis that can cause issues when it is time to “dress” the windows. Creative solutions are a must! Bill Hare from KDR Kansas City was next on the agenda with information about the fantastic products that are available through them. He showcased some of the latest items in window hardware. Iron Art by Orion has great metal finishes sure to match any lighting fixture or furniture piece in your design. My personal favorite would have to be the Bohemia collection. Nothing adds a touch of glamour to your space like a crystal finial that sparkles like a diamond. I think that all the attendees were inspired by this visit to Home Style!
